This good streak was followed by a visit to Spain, where Julius Caesar inaugurated the 68th edition of the traditional Mérida Classical Theater Festival, one of the most important of its kind.

The Argentine cast performed three shows at the Festival, in the Roman Theater, an original 1st century BC construction that has undergone several changes over the course of history, but retains its ancient amphitheater structure and is now a World Heritage Site.

Praise in Spain

The critics and the public welcomed Moria, Muscari and the cast with great anticipation and did not disappoint in the context of a theatrical meeting that already has its prestige in Europe.

“I had no idea of that place or the Festival, and from the invitation, I investigated and saw that it is one of the most important festivals in the world, in a Roman amphitheater, the only one left in Spain,” said Moria.

For the diva, “Opening the Festival with a Julius Caesar intervened by Muscari, and in the LGTBQ pride week, with the show in which the roles are reversed, it is an honor, a sublime moment for everyone “, he added.

After the performances at the Roman Theater, Moria highlighted the “feeling of fullness and relaxation” of the whole cast who walked on such an emblematic stage, with so much history and protected “by the aura that one breathes”.

Faced with this particular character in his career, Moria had assured that he had not hesitated to accept the proposal of the work because it was timeless. “It’s about power and corruption, about the strength and weakness that power gives you; that it also manipulates you and ends with your life,” she explained.

And he added: “In the work there are conspiracies, betrayals, loves, heartbreak, treachery, which are talked about at all times. Also I am a gladiator and in this I feel identified with Julius Caesar. Also in the fact that I have the power but I don’t use it or use it harmoniously.
