Blonde haira film about the life of Marilyn Monroe, will premiere in France at the Deauville American Film Festival, the Festival announced Tuesday, which runs from September 2-11.
The director Andrew Dominik (The murder of Jesse James by the cowardly Robert Ford2007) and the main actress, the Cuban-Spanish Ana de Armas (In drawn daggers, dying can wait).
The film competes for the Golden Lion for best film at the Venice Film Festival, whose 79th edition will be held from August 31 to September 10.

Blonde hairBased on a book by American author Joyce Carol Oates, it tells the fictional life of the Hollywood star who died at the age of 36 in 1962.
It retraces the nightmarish trajectory of Norma Jean Baker – Marilyn Monroe’s real name – and paints a vitriolic portrait of America in the 1950s and 1960s, especially Hollywood.
The film will be released on September 28, only on Netflix. It had been excluded from the official selection of the 75th Cannes Film Festival because no theatrical release had been planned in France.
