This was officially announced by La Renga the suspension of their shows on 20 and 27 August in Tecnópolis, after the authorities informed them that “the conditions are not met” for the shows.
At the same time, the band announced new concerts in Baradero, Rosario and Uruguay.
“Today Tecnópolis informed us that the conditions are not given, according to them, to hold the banquets on that property as planned”, reads the brief statement released on Twitter.

“See you in Baradero on August 27, in Rosario on September 24 and in Uruguay on October 8”, added the text of the band from Mataderos, without specifying in which city of Charrúa the invitation will take place.

The dates on Vicente López’s property had already been in doubt for a few weeks, after its producers denounced “censorship” and “discrimination” by that municipality.
La Renga had aimed at the “administrative delay caused intentionally“by the authorities of that municipality and warned that it will exhaust” all possible cases “to obtain authorizations for the shows on 20 and 27 August at the Tecnópolis site.
“Due to the administrative delay in the delivery of the prior permit intentionally caused by the Municipality of Vicente López, not respecting all the deadlines set by its regulation, we were forced for this reason to postpone the sale”, accused the group through their social networks .
Through a short message, which ends with a sentence from the song Arrow in the key (“I indicate you with a song”), the group questioned the municipality for having “broken” their “rules”: “We as a band cannot break the rules that they themselves break, much less harm our people. you on August 20 and 27 at Tecnopolis! “.
In this regard, producers José Palazzo and Eduardo Sempé, in charge of the production of these presentations, yesterday accused the authorities of the municipality led by Mayor Soledad Martínez (PRO) of having committed “an intentional, discriminatory and censorious act” against La Renga for having delayed qualifying.

In dialogue with the Télam agency of the time, Sempé – head of the production company SyE productions – argued that the formal proceedings began on 4 July with the delivery of all the documentation required by the regulations of the municipality and who also provided “a declaration from the authorities of Tecnópolis” confirming the dates.
“There was a face-to-face meeting where they told us they would not give us permits. We asked them to write back to us and they didn’t; we filed an appeal for ‘ready to send’ and neither E now they tell us that they sent us a note to our house, but nothing has arrived, “he added.
The Argentine Association of Theater and Music Entrepreneurs had expressed “concern over the decision of the Municipality of Vicente López not to accept the request presented for the performance of the La Renga shows, scheduled for 20 and 27 August 2022 at Tecnópolis Predio”.
