Rapper Fetty Wap Arrested for Carrying a Gun and Making Death Threats During a FaceTime Call

According to a release order issued to the 31-year-old artist during a previous trial for drug trafficking, the latter should not be in possession of a firearm or break the law.

Fetty Wap was arrested by FBI agents in New Jersey on August 8. as reported TMZ – who consulted the arrest warrant – this incident is said to be due to a FaceTime call that the rapper made last December.

During this, the 31-year-old artist would have waved a gun in front of the camera and threatened to kill his interlocutor on the other side of the line. This individual, identified by the pseudonym “John Doe”, said under oath that Fetty Wap would have repeated “I will kill you and everyone with you”.

Conditions violated

Last October, Fetty Wap had already been arrested for having, along with five other people, “distributed more than 100 kilos of cocaine, heroin, fentanyl and crack on Long Island and New Jersey” between June 2019 and June 2020. had pleaded not guilty. and was released from prison on $500,000 bond pending trial.

But the rapper’s release order states that he must not be in possession of a firearm, destructive device or any other object” and that he must not “violate any federal, state or local law.”

Therefore, prosecutors charge Fetty Wap with having violated these conditions during this FaceTime call. New York District Judge Steven Locke revoked the rapper’s bail, and he was jailed pending his trial date.
