A British girl who wanted to invite Prince George to her sixth birthday received a letter from the royal family rejecting her offer but thanking her for her attention.
“The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have asked me to thank them for their letter inviting Prince George to his sixth birthday. I’m sorry it took so long,” read the document quoted by the daily express.
And to add: “Their Royal Highnesses are extremely grateful for this kind invitation. But after considering all possibilities, we regret to inform you that Their Royal Highnesses have no choice but to decline this invitation.”
“very touched”
And the letter concludes: “The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were very touched that you took the time to write to their son, Prince George. It was very kind of you and their Royal Highnesses asked us to send their most sincere thanks.” and best wishes.”
Third in line to the British throne after his grandfather and father, Prince George celebrated his ninth birthday on July 22.
Last September, Queen Elizabeth II responded to a letter sent by a 7-year-old French boy, who had written to the queen to offer her condolences after the death of Prince Philip.
