Troy Kotsur, first deaf male actor to win an Oscar for his role in the film CODAHe had his prized statuette stolen for a few hours this weekend, NBC News reports.
The events took place last Saturday, during a visit by the comedian in his hometown of Mesa, Arizona, where he was honored for his victory at the Oscars. During his visit, his Jeep, where his Oscar was, was stolen by two teenagers.
Local police quickly located the stolen car and the two teenagers, who were charged with theft. The vehicle and the Oscar were returned overnight to Troy Kotsur.
