Rwanda: Death of popular singer Yvan Buravan at the age of 27

The Rwandan R&B singer died at the age of 27 of cancer in India, where he was undergoing treatment.

The tributes came on Wednesday after his family announced the death of Rwandan R&B singer Yvan Buravan, who died of cancer at the age of 27 in India, where he had been receiving treatment since early August.

Yvan Buravan, whose real name is Burabyo Yvan, was born on April 27, 1995, the last of six children. His first album mixed Afro, RnB and pop. He was awarded the RFI Discovery Award in 2018.
