Next Wednesday, spectators going to the cinema to see the film BeastYou could almost have seen comedian Idris Elba with his daughter, Isan Elba. The latter, in fact, had passed tests to play the daughter of Dr. Nate Daniels, the character of her father in the film. But she was not selected, she recently told her during the radio show. the breakfast club:
“My daughter wants to be an actress. She auditioned for the part in the movie and it all came down to our chemistry. Strangely, despite our filial connection, our chemistry wasn’t good for the movie.”
After learning that she had not been cast in the film, Isan Elba did not speak to her father “for three weeks”.

Will Packer, the film’s producer, also interviewed on the radio show, said he broke the news to Isan Elba. He praised the actor for not asking for special treatment for his son and giving him an audition like everyone else.
“During the trials, Idris was not nice to her,” she recalled. “He told her, ‘Look, at the end of the day, we’re going to make the decision that’s going to be best for the movie. I trust Will and the director.’ She was close to getting the role. But the nuances of a real-life relationship sometimes don’t show up on screen.”
Idris and Isan Elba finally made it to the premiere of Beast, on August 8. Sign that the 20-year-old did not stay angry for long.
