Dany Boon and Line Renaud, fourth! The actor-director is back with his favorite actress, but in a movie he’s not directing. Signed Christian Carion, a great racewhose trailer was released this Tuesday, is the fourth comedy with the duo of actors after the house of happiness (2006), welcome home of the Ch’tis (2008) and The Ch’tite family (2018).
Here’s the official synopsis: “92-year-old Madeleine hails a taxi to get to the retirement home where she must now live. She asks Charles, a somewhat disillusioned driver, to drive through the places he’s counted in his life, to see them one last time. Little by little, in the corner of the streets of Paris, an extraordinary past emerges that upsets Charles. There are taxi trips that can change a life…”
The film, selected at the Angoulême Francophone Film Festival, will be released in theaters on September 21. Line Renaud and Dany Boon share the poster with Alice Isaaz (She) and Jérémie Laheurte (The life of Adele).
Dany Boon is currently filming real life, his seventh comedy as director. The story of a man born in a Club Med in Mexico who is forced at age 50 to leave his cocoon to reunite with his childhood love. Charlotte Gainsbourg and Kad Merad appear in the cast.
