Nicola Sirkis saluted the memory of Jonathan Destin. On Twitter, the singer of the Indochine group wanted to pay tribute to the 27-year-old after the announcement of her death while she slept on Saturday by her mother on Facebook.
“Jonathan always forever by your side,” the artist wrote, accompanying his tweet with a photo with the young man.
Bullied and beaten by his classmates, Jonathan Destin had tried to set himself on fire in 2011, when he was 16 years old. After 17 surgeries and more than two months in a comashe had survived this tragedy and had since become a symbol of the fight against bullying.
