This Cultural Pass, which allows young people to access individual credits to buy cultural goods such as books, manga or records, was a great success last year.

“We want school for everyone. The school must be the breeding ground where equal opportunities grow, not the terrain of social reproduction. The school must be a breeding ground fueled by republican solidarity, animated from beginning to end by the same faith in effort and in transmission”, hammered out the Head of State.

Launched nationally in May 2021

Elisabeth Borne had already announced the measure last July to the National Assembly during her first political speech. “Let’s make culture accessible to everyone, from the young. For this reason, we will propose to extend the culture pass from the sixth grade and expand artistic and cultural education, ”he said.

With a budget of 40 million euros in 2020, the Culture Pass had seen its credits double in 2021: 59 million were contributed by the State and 12 million by private partners. Credits not used in 2020, of 9 million euros, had been reused.
