Jordan Peele says yes to more than Boop. During an interview with the New York TimesThe 43-year-old filmmaker said his new sci-fi horror film, released in French theaters on August 10, could be part of a larger universe.
“We haven’t finished telling all these stories,” he told the New York Times.
This statement from the filmmaker comes after some discerning viewers questioned a character in the film, who is listed on IMDB as “Nobody.” This one, played by Michael Busch, appears in the trailer for Boop but was nonetheless cut from the film.
“The story of this character has yet to be told. Which is another frustrating way of saying I’m glad people are paying attention to it. I really think you’ll get more answers about some of these things in the future,” he added. Jordan Peele assured.
$150 million at the worldwide box office
Within Boop Daniel Kaluuya and Keke Palmer star as Hollywood horse trainers determined to capture an alien presence on film. Steven Yeun, Barbie Ferreira, Brandon Perea, Keith David, Donna Mills, Andrew Patrick Ralston and Michael Wincott round out the cast.
This is Jordan Peele’s third movie after Salt and Us, whose success has made the filmmaker one of the masters of contemporary horror cinema. If these three feature films have exceeded 100 million dollars at the world box office, none of them have been the subject of a sequel for the moment.
