Grendizer still takes center stage, nearly half a century after its birth. Its creator Go Nagai, 76, announced this week the production of a new anime starring the famous giant robot.
It is not yet known if this new project will be a series or a movie. Meanwhile, a trailer hosted by Go Nagai has been uploaded. We discover a Golgoth, as well as a mysterious character.
The best animators in Japan have been working on this new creation for several years, which has been baptized Project G. 2023 will be a busy year for Grendizer fans: Microids will also release a video game spin-off of the license.
Grendizer is still as popular as ever. Last year, a comic strip produced by Xavier Dorison, Denis Bajram, Brice Cossu, Alexis Sentenac and Yoann Guillo was a huge success in France, selling 228,700 copies.
