Gorillaz announce new album “Cracker Island” for February 2023

To accompany this release, the “virtual” group shared a first excerpt from the album, entitled new goldin collaboration with Tame Impala and rapper Bootie Brown.

after the single cookie island Presented this summer, Gorillaz have just announced a new self-titled album. Scheduled for release on February 24, 2023, this work will be the group’s eighth “virtual” studio album and the first since Song Machine Volume One: Strange Timez released in 2020.

On this album, the line-up starring Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett invited numerous prestigious guests such as Bad Bunny, Beck, Thundercat, Adeleye Omotayond or the former Fleetwood Mac singer, Stevie Nicks.

A first single with Tame Impala

To accompany this release, Gorillaz published this Thursday a first excerpt from their album, entitled new goldin collaboration with Tame Impala and rapper Bootie Brown (The Pharcyde).

Currently on a world tour, Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett notably stopped by France in June on stage at the We Love Green festival. They will continue their concerts in North America until next October.
