Lino Patalano died today at the age of 76. This was reported by his colleague and friend, Carlos Rottemberg, from his official Twitter account, Multiteatro:

“The surprising death of Lino Patalano strikes a painful blow for the artistic community. From this Casa del Teatro we will accompany his family, friends and colleagues in these sad hours”.

Inextricably linked to the Maipo theater and all its stories, Patalano was born in Italy in 1946 and arrived in Argentina with his family when he was just five years old.

In his career as a producer, the first steps of María Elena Walsh, Astor Piazzolla, Mercedes Sosa, Nacha Guevara, Julio Bocca and many others are told. He was also linked to the careers of Gato Barbieri, Hugo Midón, Enrique Pinti and Norma Aleandro.
