Public health in Quebec reported Tuesday 35 new deaths associated with COVID-19, but hospitals dropped.
Along with these 35 deaths, the death toll has reached 15,178 since the pandemic began in Quebec.
Health authorities also report 1,901 people hospitalized, 9 less than the previous day.
Of this number, 66 people were in intensive care, a stable figure compared to the previous assessment.
According to data from the Ministry of Health and Social Services (MSSS), 99 more COVID-19 patients were admitted to the hospital in the past 24 hours, while 108 patients were discharged.
Quebec also listed 772 new COVID-19 infections, bringing the number of confirmed cases in Quebec to 1,053,409 since February 2020.
In addition, the MSSS identified 812 active outbreaks and 15,343 active cases in the province.
However, the number of cases identified does not represent the situation, as access to screening centers is only possible for groups considered priority.
According to authorities, 648 self-reported rapid tests have been recorded in the past 24 hours, including 558 that were positive.
At least 6,463 health care workers were absent for COVID-19-related reasons (preventive withdrawal, isolation, waiting for results, etc.).
