Of this number, 59 people were in intensive care, down 1 compared to the previous assessment.

According to data from the Ministry of Health and Social Services (MSSS), 92 new COVID-19 patients were admitted to the hospital in the past 24 hours, while 159 patients were discharged.

Quebec also listed 900 new COVID-19 infections, bringing the number of confirmed cases in Quebec to 1,056,177 since February 2020.

However, the number of cases identified does not represent the situation, as access to screening centers is only possible for groups considered priority.

According to authorities, 224 self-reported rapid tests have been recorded in the past 24 hours, including 182 positive.

At least 6,115 health care workers were absent for COVID-19-related reasons (preventive withdrawal, isolation, waiting for results, etc.).

In Quebec, 21,388 administered doses were added to the balance, or 20,365 in the last 24 hours and 1,023 before May 12, for a total of 19,734,481 doses administered.

Outside Quebec, 330,217 doses were administered, for a total of 20,064,698 doses received by Quebecers.
