The CEO of Horizon Santé-Nord (HSN) said COVID-19-related admissions are still high at regional hospitals, but there are encouraging signs.
Dominic Giroux said there were approximately 39 COVID-19 patients admitted compared to 61 a few weeks ago.
The numbers change from week to week so I don’t want to declare success, too early, on the contrary. But I point out that in two weeks we have seen the number of admissions go down, which is encouraging.he says.
Also, a lower proportion of employees have to self-isolate because of COVID-19.
Dominic Giroux said about 1.5% of workers are now laid off, compared to 4.4% at the height of staff shortages.
