Five more patients surrendered to COVID-19, bringing the death toll to 15,284 since the pandemic began in Quebec.

Quebec also identified 457 new cases of the infection, bringing the number of confirmed cases to 1,058,066 since February 2020.

However, the number of cases identified does not represent the situation, as access to screening centers is only possible for groups considered priority.

According to authorities, 172 self-reported rapid tests have been recorded in the past 24 hours, including 139 positive.

At least 5,331 health care workers were absent for COVID-19-related reasons (preventive withdrawal, isolation, waiting for results, etc.).

Vaccination

In total, 19,773,206 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been given in Quebec since the vaccination campaign began, including 5,076 in the past 24 hours.

Outside Quebec, a total of 331,213 doses were administered, for a cumulative total of 20,104,419 doses received by Quebecers.
