Between May 8 and May 14, Saskatchewan recorded 22 new deaths associated with COVID-19, including one person under the age of 19.
Since the pandemic began, 1,364 Saskatchewanians have lost their lives to the virus.
In addition, the number of hospitalized people with COVID-19 continues to decline.
As of May 18, 270 Saskatchewanians with COVID-19 remained in the hospital, down 51 from the previous week.
The province also counted 465 new COVID-19 cases in the week of May 8. This is 245 less than the previous week.
Only laboratory -confirmed cases are calculated in official statistics.
There are also 11 new outbreaks of COVID-19 in care centers or senior residences across the province.
52.3% of Saskatchewanians over the age of 18 have received at least three doses of the vaccine.
