Quebec public health has identified three new deaths associated with COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. The number of people hospitalized for treatment of the disease also rose, up 4, to a total of 1,351.
The government also indicated that 9 people had left intensive care, for a total of 47 patients still present.
Since the crisis broke out in February 2020, COVID-19 has killed 15,357 Quebecers.
Quebec also reported that 4,014 health network workers were absent for disease -related reasons, even through preventive withdrawal, to put themselves in isolation, because they were waiting for test results, etc.
A total of 417 new COVID-19 cases have added to the number of those infected in the province since the pandemic began, reaching 1,062,452.
Public health also reports 9,094 samples were analyzed as of May 22. However, access to these diagnostic tests is reserved for at-risk populations.
In addition, 211,157 self-declared rapid tests have been recorded so far, including 173,045 positive: for Monday, there were 219 declared tests, including 183 positive.
On the vaccination side, 2535 doses were given on Monday. A total of 19,852,705 doses were administered in Quebec, in addition to 333,771 others outside the province.
