COVID-19: 3 new deaths in Ottawa and Outaouais, not in eastern Ontario

Ottawa and Outaouais have each recorded three new COVID-19-related deaths in the past 24 hours. There were no additional deaths in eastern Ontario on Tuesday.

The death toll in Outaouais since the pandemic began is now 316.

According to data from the National Institute of Public Health of Quebec (INSPQ), Outaouais saw 20 new cases added to its toll on Tuesday. There are 212 active infections in the territory of the region.

Currently, 51 patients are in the hospital due to the coronavirus, including two in intensive care.

In the province, Quebec reports eight new COVID-19-related deaths after two days with no disease-related loss of life.

11 hospitalized in Ottawa

Three new deaths recorded in Ottawa Public Health (OPS) territory have brought the death toll to 810 since the health crisis began.

Eleven hospital beds are also occupied by COVID-19-infected patients in the federal capital. Two of them are in intensive care.

Like the Outaouais, OPS there have been 20 new cases in the past 24 hours. At this time, the data counted 373 active infections and 16 outbreaks in institutional settings.

No one died in Eastern Ontario

On the other hand, the Eastern Ontario Health Unit (EOHU) does not identify any additional virus -related deaths.

Compared to the previous day, the number of hospitalized decreased from 6 to 5. The situation in intensive care is stable even if one patient is present in the territory of EOHU.
