Quebec recorded 11 new deaths Wednesday in the past 24 hours, for a total of 15,467 deaths since the COVID-19 pandemic began.
Currently there are 1012 people hospitalized, an increase of 5 compared to the previous day. Of this number, 25 patients are in intensive care, one less than on Tuesday.
Public health also recorded 738 new cases, for a total of 1,070,888 people infected since the pandemic began.
Note, however, that the number of cases listed does not represent the situation because access to screening centers is now limited to priority clients, such as health care workers.
Therefore, citizens should use self -tests and are invited to report them to public health. For Monday, 280 self-tests were declared, of which 232 were positive.
The seven -day positivity rate was 6.9%.
About 3,970 health care workers are also out of the network for COVID-19-related reasons, whether it be preventive withdrawal, isolation or a waiting period for results, for example.
Vaccination data was not available when the Department of Health released its latest statistics on Wednesday.
