In Saskatoon, the coronavirus viral load rose 134.2%, representing a significant increase compared to last week’s results.

According to researchers from the University of Saskatchewan, this is the highest viral load recorded in wastewater analysis in the City of Bridges, since May 13, 2022.

The researchers also noticed an increase in viral load on wastewater from North Battleford of 28.9%. Despite this increase, the researchers said the data recorded was among six reports showing low viral load in sewage since the start of the Omicron wave in North Battleford.

Unlike Saskatoon and North Battleford, Prince Albert is now showing a 28.1% decrease in viral load on its wastewater, again for the same period.

In the previous report, the city recorded a 49.9% increase, unlike Saskatoon and North Battleford or the trend is downward.
