COVID-19: Quebec reports 2 more deaths and 532 new cases

Quebec reports Monday 532 new cases of COVID-19 and 2 additional deaths reported in the last 24 hours.

These two new deaths bring the total to 15,538 deaths since the start of the pandemic.

Due to a change in the methodology, Quebec warns that data concerning hospitalizations and patients with intensive care are no longer recognized in the weekend. This data is updated from Tuesday to Saturday.

The Ministry of Health said that the number of cases listed is not representative of the situation, since access to screening centers is restricted to priority customers.

The services of the Ministry of Health report 7,515 samples taken on June 18. They also report 223,409 self-reported rapid tests so far, including 183,813 positive: 356 reported for yesterday, including 314 positive.

Vaccination

According to the data available, 1,890 doses of vaccine against COVID-19 have been administered in the last 24 hours for a total of 20,008,814 injections administered in Quebec.

Outside Quebec, a total of 340,180 doses were administered, for a cumulative total of 20,348,994 doses received by Quebecers, specifies the Ministry of Health.
