250 new cases of monkeypox were confirmed in just five days.

“As of July 26, 2022 at 12:00 noon, 1,837 confirmed cases have been identified in France,” the health authorities specified, adding that the patients resided “most frequently” in Île-de-France, in Occitanie. and in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes.

Difficult to track patients

“All the cases identified to date are adult men, except 12 adult women and 2 children”, also indicates Public Health France. The previous report, five days earlier, reported 1,567 cases of monkeypox.

“Most of the cases questioned declare that they cannot identify the person who would have contaminated them”, finally points out Public Health France, announcing a next update of this evaluation on Friday, July 29.
