Three people were arrested Tuesday morning by police from the Sûreté du Québec (SQ) who are currently conducting an anti-drug operation in Sainte-Eulalie, in Center-du-Québec.
They were two men aged 31 and 37 and a woman aged 25, all from Sainte-Eulalie. They, according to SQ, are involved in drug trafficking. Police also conducted a search for drugs and guns.
Investigators from Mauricie organized a crime investigation and a coordination team led this operation.
The operation mobilized more than 20 police from various units of the Sûreté du Québec, including members of the tactical intervention group and a dog handler. The suspects will be interviewed by investigators over the next few hoursexplanation of the police force in a press release.
This operation is part of the CENTAURE strategy that the mandate is to ensure continued harassment of organized crime and thus actively combat the trafficking of illegal firearms in Quebec.
