Police in Saint John, New Brunswick, conducted a search in the northern part of the city Tuesday night in an attempt to locate the missing 17 -year -old boy.
Gerald Surnode was last seen Monday, around 3:30 pm, at Samuel-de-Champlain school.
Members of the Saint-Jean police force, as well as a ground search and rescue team, are conducting extensive research of the area around the school on Tuesday night.
Residents in the area are also urged to remain vigilant.
Police are asking people living in the area to walk around their property for clues and check their surveillance cameras, if they have any.
Gerald Surnode is 5 feet 6 inches tall. He was quite stocky and had short black hair. He was last seen wearing a red hoodie and dark pants.
Police and Gerald Surnode’s family are concerned for his safety, police said.
