Quebec City police on Wednesday morning arrested seven individuals suspected of committing multiple crimes of a sexual nature.
They may face charges of sexual assault, sexual interference by a person under the age of 16, production, possession, access and distribution of child pornography, breach of promise, fraud under $ 5,000 and receipt of thefts that product.
Seven individuals from the Quebec region were released on a pledge to appear. The alleged crimes were allegedly committed between 2020 and 2021. They were all aged 18 at the time of the events.
Police did not indicate if there was more than one victim in this case, as the investigation is still ongoing.
More arrests may follow soonsaid Marie-Pier Rivard, spokeswoman for SPVQ.
