Gerónimo Rulli, goalkeeper of Villarreal, appealed for the comeback against Liverpool and said that they go into the second leg with “all the confidence in the world” and that he has no doubts “that the team is going to stand up”.
“They were superior, but if there is something good about this team, it is that they believe and that they believe that the second leg is going to be different,” said Rulli in the mixed zone.
“All the confidence in the world, otherwise, we would give them a place in the final right now. We believe in our work. Tuesday will be a completely different game from today. I have no doubt that this team will stand up,” he added.
“We are talking about Liverpool, with its stadium, with 50,000 people in its favor. It is one of the best in the world, if not the best. If we thought that we were not going to suffer, we were completely wrong,” Rulli pointed out.
