Three Torontonians were arrested with $ 1.6 million worth of drugs in Thunder Bay

The Thunder Bay Police Service recovered a large quantity of narcotics from a residence on McKellar Street North. Three suspects, Toronto residents, were arrested Tuesday night following the search.

Authorities obtained a search warrant through the investigation, which is still ongoing, regarding the sale at that address.

The two suspects were at home when they were searched. A third was found in a nearby yard trying to flee the scene.

They were all handcuffed and taken to the municipal police headquarters.

Law enforcement officers discovered the quantity of six types of drugs, including fentanyl, methamphetamine and cocaine, a firearm, $ 100,000 cash and equipment used for trafficking in the building.

The street value of narcotics is approximately $ 1.6 million.

The suspects, aged 21 to 31, will face a variety of charges, including possession of illegal substances for the purpose of trafficking.

One of them was twice arrested by Thunder Bay police in January and March 2019 for possession of cocaine.
