Four youths from Laval who were rushing to exceed 170 km/h were intercepted on Highway 40, near Rigaud, by police from the Vaudreuil-Dorion motorway station and the MRC de Vaudreuil-Soulage stations, early this morning .
The four suspects were aboard luxury Lexus sport utility vehicles. They were an 18-year-old male, a 19-year-old female and two minors aged 15 and 16. All four were from Laval.explained Nicolas Scholtus Champagne, spokesman for the Sûreté du Québec.
This follows a request from the Ontario Provincial Police that Sûreté du Québec (SQ) patrol officers go into search mode to find three luxury sport utility vehicles (SUVs). Two of the three SUVs were possibly stolen in the Toronto area.
Over the next few hours, the suspects will be greeted by Sûreté du Québec investigators. Individuals may face cases of ownership of property obtained through crime and possession of theft tools. Other charges may be added as the investigation continues.end speaker for SQ.
