The Winters Hotel, which was devastated by a fire that left 2 dead and 5 injured in addition to throwing 70 residents on the street on April 11, has now been completely demolished.
The City of Vancouver said it will soon undertake work to clean up the surrounding area.
Authorities added that they will try to open as many sidewalks and streets as possible to help residents and surrounding businesses.
The destructive fire, which occurred on April 11, was reportedly caused by unattended candles.
Last week, a second corpse was found in demolition operations.
In the days following the fire, the building manager said he believed all the occupants were outside the building.
Winters Hotel offers cheap single rooms for people on very low incomes.
