A collision involving two vehicles occurred Saturday afternoon in the Pointe-du-Lac sector, in Trois-Rivières. At around 12:30 p.m., a car veered from its lane on Chemin Sainte-Marguerite to collide with another vehicle approaching in the other direction.
The driver was in critical condition following the violent collision. The driver and passenger of another vehicle were injured, but there was no fear for their lives.
Minutes before the accident, a motorist alerted police to tell them about a car with the wrong driver.
Investigators are on the scene to try to determine the cause of the accident. Malaise or alcoholism are hypotheses studied.
Chemin Sainte-Marguerite was closed to allow police to conduct their checks.
