Upon cross-examination, the prosecutor asked Dr. Chamberland in his interviews given to various media, a day after the tragedy that claimed the lives of two people.

In this case, there is almost no doubt that it was someone who had a mental health problem at the time of the events.said the psychiatrist in an interview with Cogeco, on November 1, 2020.

There it is, your idea has been formedlaunched the prosecutor, Me François Godin. This is completely wronganswer of the psychiatrist.

Me Godin wears a mask and speaks to the media in the central court of the Quebec City courthouse.

He explained that he had discussed the information available at the time. Lots of stuff there, I putwill add Dr. Chamberland, about the interview being heard by the jury.

The cross-examination will continue on Monday afternoon.

Before being cross-examined, the defense-mandated psychiatrist answered questions from Carl Girouard’s lawyer Me Pierre Gagnon.

Worse after a year?

Dr. explained. Chamberland made his diagnosis of schizophrenia and mild autism spectrum disorder to defendant.

According to the expert, the drama could have been worse if it had happened later.

He remembered that Girouard had continued to prepare him homework and he felt compelled to act in 2020, as the full moon fell on Halloween night.

The psychiatrist believes the drama could have another magnitude if this symbol referred to by the kill had occurred in 2021 because he would have been delusional for another year.

More details to come
