Crash in North West: one of the victims is accused of murder in Thailand

One of four men killed in a plane crash over the weekend near Sioux Lookout, Gene Lahrkamp, ​​is wanted by Royal Thai Police on suspicion of a homicide in Thailand earlier this year.

The Joint Organized Crime Unit of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police in British Columbia confirmed to the CBC that Mr. Lahrkamp is wanted by Thai police in connection with the murder of Jimi Sandhu, in connection with organized crime in Canada.

The suspect and another accused in that case fled Canada after the cases in Thailand.

Gene Lahrkamp, ​​who lives in Kincardine, southwestern Ontario, was added to a list of Canada’s most wanted fugitives last week.

Canada’s 25 most wanted criminals according to a national campaign to arrest them.

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) on Tuesday released the identities of three of the crash victims, including Mr. Lahrkamp.

Ang POP also identified the pilot, Abhinav Handa, of Richmond, British Columbia, and another passenger, Duncan Bailey, of Kamloops.

Another passenger has not been named so far, it’s time to let his relatives know.

The plane was found Saturday morning after the search began when it was reported overdue. The aircraft flew from Dryden, Ontario, to Marathon.

None of the occupants survived.

The Transportation Safety Board of Canada continues to investigate the crash.
