The Sûreté du Québec indicates that it has completed its investigation into the circumstances surrounding the discovery of the bodies of two men in a woodland near Natashquan. Investigators rule out the possibility that a third party was involved or that it was a criminal activity.

The police forensic identification services of SQ deployed on site completed the scene examination on Tuesday night and awaits the autopsy results.

Certainly following examination and autopsy, we can confirm one particular thesis, but we really have to wait for others.said Nancy Fournier, spokeswoman for SQ.

Investigators maintain that nothing was analyzed at the scene suggesting that the deaths of the two young men in their thirties were related to a third party. They also revealed that no crime had been committed.

The identities of the victims have not yet been officially released. Police also met with the families of the victims to clarify these tragic incidents.

About 50 people gathered on Tuesday near where the bodies were found. They began songs and prayers in memory of the deceased.

The Natashquan community is shocked and homesick.
