Mr. stands. Swan that the derailment occurred around 5:00 am and there were no petroleum products inside the vehicles. In fact, according to him, all vehicles were empty except for one with no toxic material.

Footage of the incident shows train cars stacked on top of each other near the houses.
Local resident Jeff Pleadwell fell asleep as the train headed to the port town of St. Louis. John. He said he woke up to a frightening sound. The man lives about 200 m from the railroad where the accident happened. He sees the scene from his window. He says he saw no smoke or fire.
Mr Pleadwell said he saw the equipment arrive to start cleaning after 8 am Thursday, when Route 3 was still closed to traffic.
