A package containing prohibited and unauthorized items was seized on May 3 at the Port-Cartier establishment.
Among those seized in this package was 463 grams of hashish.
According to Correctional Service Canada (CSC) spokesman Jean-François Mathieu, the goods contained in the package cost $ 139,000 inside the penitentiary.
Service officers work with police officers to take appropriate action against individuals who attempt to bring prohibited objects into correctional settings.
