A head-on collision leaves two seriously injured in Témiscouata-sur-le-Lac

Two people are in critical condition following a collision in Témiscouata-sur-Lac on Thursday afternoon, according to the Sûreté du Québec (SQ).

At 2:15 p.m., police were called at kilometer 38 of Route 232 in Témiscouata-sur-Lac.

Four people were injured in the accident, according to a spokesman SQ Claude Doiron.

This indicates that in one of the vehicles, there were three people on board, two of whom were seriously injured and in critical condition.

In the other vehicle, the lone driver sustained injuries, but had no fear for his life.said the speaker.

Head-on collision is inevitable.

There was a vehicle heading west that, on exiting a curve, would have gone into the oncoming lane at the same time as another vehicle heading east.explained Mr. Doiron.

The scene is protected at the moment to allow a reconstructionist to shed light on the circumstances of the accident.

Route 232 is completely closed in this area. A bypass was made.

Claude Doiron confirmed that the investigation of SQ was initiated with regard to this head-on collision.
