A 46-year-old man was arrested by Saguenay Police Department officials while he was wanted by the criminal investigations office. The suspect is wanted specifically for violating conditions and harassing a woman.
He was spotted by patrol officers on rue Saint-Henri in the borough of Jonquière around 3 am Saturday morning. The latter tried to pretend to be another when the police arrested him.
He tried to defer himself as his brother, the sergeant on duty said. This constitutes a new offense in addition to the facts already charged. The sergeant reminds us that it is forbidden to pretend to be someone else.
The man is supposed to appear on Saturday.
In addition, police arrested an individual in his thirties with an alcohol disability on Friday night.
The man was lying in his car on the driver’s side. It is parked behind a bar on rue Saint-Dominique in Jonquière.
While he was sleeping, patrol officers saw him. He had obvious symptoms of alcoholism.
The police remind you to take a taxi in these conditions, because sleeping on the steering wheel of your car after drinking alcohol is an offense.
