Two men were wounded by gunfire west of Montreal

Two men, one aged 30 and the other 20, were shot and injured Sunday morning in an industrial area west of Montreal. We are not afraid for their lives.

Police were called around 4:10 am to go to Hickmore Street, near Merizzi Street, in the borough of Saint-Laurent.

When they arrived, they found a first victim in the area, unconscious and injured in the upper body. His state of health was not known on Sunday morning by the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM).

The second victim would go alone to the hospital center and his life would be in danger.

According to preliminary information, a rally was taking place in a room located in the industrial sector and a conflict escalated outside. And there two victims were injuredsaid the speaker SPVMCaroline Chevrefils.

The suspect (s) fled before police arrived.

A security perimeter was built to allow investigators to examine the scene and better understand the circumstances of the event.

The investigation is ongoing.
