The fire that started around 10:20 pm quickly got worse, so the vehicles parked near the factory also caught fire.

Firefighters have to work long hours in defensive mode to prevent the spread. Residents of a nearby home on 127th Street were evacuated due to the size of the fire.

At dawn, firefighters were working on a building that was nothing but a pile of rubble.

The work of Saint-Georges firefighters became complicated because there was no fire hydrant in the area.

SOPFEU called

Firefighters sought help from firefighters from the neighboring municipalities of Saint-Prosper, Saint-Martin, Beauceville. SOPFEU was even called as reinforcements.

The risks of spread are high. SOPFEU was even called.

The cause of the fire has not been determined so far, but the plant is a total loss.

Abritek, which employs more than a hundred workers, however, has a second manufacturing plant in Saint-Georges.
