Leaving for Toronto

The complainant states that he paid her for a train ticket to visit him on November 22, 2016 in Toronto, where they had previously agreed to have sex.

I nervously went down to the hotelhe recalls after boarding the train at dawn to Ottawa, where he lived in an apartment.

We barely said hello in the elevator and he called me “Baby” even though he knew my namehe says.

He pointed out that the singer’s room was not ready yet, so he met her in another room. He leaned me against the wall to kiss me without saying anythinghe continued.

He says he was drunk on a drug, a liquid prescription that he says he saw the bottle in the bedroom bed. I’m not comfortablehe says.

I denied his advances all over my body and told him I found him rude.he assured.

The woman said she was very surprised by his behavior, which had nothing to do with the flattering man that he spoke to on social media.

He specified that they stayed in the room for about an hour while waiting for the second to be ready. We could clearly see that he was drugged in his eyes and in his speechhe says.

The alleged pain

He added that the singer asked him to wait and walk behind him when they went to the other room, because he was afraid to be seen in his company.

He then took my phone entering the bedroom and placed it in the drawer of the bedside tablehe said, because women used to shoot him.

She then recounted, with emotion in her voice and paused for a long time, that the singer immediately threw her on the bed and repeatedly raped her, first penetrating her anally, then in the mouth and genitals.

He buried my head in the bed, he immobilized my arms with his knees, the ugly he looked., he continued. She added that she was crying and asking him to stop.

He hit me on the head, spat in my mouth and called me pig imitating the pig’s growl and ordered me to be kind.he recalled.

The complainant further added that he even choked it as it penetrated him, as he could see its reflection above the bed. He put his hands around my neck when he felt I was about to pass out.he pointed out.

She finally remembered that it had dragged her on her legs to the bathroom to pee on her. He asked me to do the same on him but I refusedhe says.

He said he was repeatedly beaten for about 4 hours between two or three times he bathed. There he noticed that he was bleeding from his private part.

He said he was scared and comforted himself that it would all be over when he returned to ride his train to Ottawa. He was crazy and he was like a psychopathhe says.

Leaving the hotel

The woman pointed out that she left the hotel in a taxi and went to a fast food restaurant near Union Station while waiting for the train.

I called my friend B., I was embarrassed and I tried to explain to him what had happened, but he was late for university.he says.

He said Jacob Hoggard sent him a text message in which he wrote that he hoped to see him again and that good time.

Returning to his apartment around midnight that night, he explained that he had taken a bath before taking a long bath and that his friends B. and P. accompanied him to his house and he told them everything.

I’m in pain, I’m still bleeding, my tailbone hurts, I have bruises on my leg.he says.

A legal description.

She said he texted her the next day to tell her it raped her and she expected an apology from him, but she didn’t.

He pointed out that he had seen a doctor 5 or 6 days later and had not returned to university so far.

The complainant explained that he did not go to the police, because he agreed to go to her to have sex. I thought no one would still believe and it was hard to prove anythinghe concludes.

Cross-examination

However, Jacob Hoggard’s lawyer, Megan Savard, wondered about the woman’s behavior throughout this trial.

Me Savard recalls, for example, that the woman did not call 911 from her cell phone or from the bedroom phone and she did not leave the room when the singer left to take a bath at least twice, when she called balcony or when he ordered food upstairs.

You cannot leave the room while you are being rapedresponse of the complainant.

The woman also admitted that the singer did not forbid her to leave the room and she did call a taxi when it’s all over.

A judicial description of the trial.

On the other hand, he denied the defense’s allegations that he even stayed in the room watching the movie with her. I sat on the bed while staring into spacehe explained.

Me Savard also suggests that the woman had not previously understood that her client was interested in rough intercourse and that she did not understand in their communications her intentions in the matter.

The lawyer reminded him that he was still confused on the phone that night when he called B. while waiting for the return train.

You didn’t tell him you were raped and he crossed the line, it accuses him of. The woman replied that she was still too shocked to think about what had happened to her.

The defense even noticed contradictions in the complainant’s testimony compared to what he told police in the spring of 2018 or in the initial questioning in the summer of 2019.

The cross-examination continues on Wednesday.
