Nearly 3,000 customers lost power Tuesday morning in Rimouski because of this accident, according to Hydro-Québec.

The Sûreté du Québec is continuing its investigation to find out the causes and circumstances surrounding the man’s death.

The Standards, Equity, Health and Safety and Work Commission (CNESST) also sent inspectors to the site. However, this implies that it must first be determined whether the victim is a worker within the meaning of the law before proceeding with its investigation.

A worker who is under CNESST must be an employee of a company registered in its register.

Inspectors are still collecting information at the scene of the accident.
