A family residence on chemin de la Miche, in Lac-Beauport, was engulfed in flames on Wednesday. One policeman was slightly injured. Three residents had to be taken care of by the Red Cross.
An initial call was made to 911 around 11:13 a.m. when the first responders arrived, the fire had already consumed a large part of the residence.
Thirty firefighters from the Lac-Beauport, Stoneham and Sainte-Brigitte-de-Laval fire departments were called in to fight the fire.
The operation ended around 4 p.m.
Fortunately and without the three riders at the time of the fire, they were taken care of by the Red Cross.
A firefighter was reportedly injured by a piece of wood at the scene, however, it was a minor damage according to Hélène House, communications officer with the Municipality of Lac-Beauport.
