Tourisme Abitibi-Témiscamingue launched its summer promotional campaign on Tuesday under the theme “Gâtée par la nature”.

In September, the campaign will be broadcast on Quebec television, digital media, social networks and regional radio.

After two years of a pandemic with limited travel, Abitibi-Témiscamingue Tourism hopes to reconnect with its traditional markets of Northeastern Ontario, northern United States and France, in addition to Quebec and the region.

Tourisme Abitibi-Témiscamingue president Émilien Larochelle said he felt an air of renewal in the industry at the end of the pandemic.

We found the human interaction we so missed, he underlined. Guests always admire our reception. This is our trademark. We know that people also value clean air, space and tranquility. This is something that will be sold in the future. Yes, we like activities, but it also takes places to recharge our batteries and we have all these advantages.
