A motorist was caught traveling at a speed of 176 km/h on Route 139 in Wickham.
Acton MRC patrol officers stopped the 31-year-old motorist as he was driving almost twice as fast as the legal limit in the 90 km/h zone.
However, the Roxton Pound motorist did not stop immediately. He ignored the police and continued his walk despite the flashing lights of the patrol vehicle.

An investigation report regarding dangerous driving and the hit-and-run was submitted to the office of the criminal and penal prosecution attorney. Criminal charges may be filed.
A statement of offense for $ 1,621 was issued to him for this excessive speed. Eighteen demerit points were also added to his driving record.
The driver’s license of these repeating speeding offenders was suspended for 30 days. His car was also caught.
