Dr. Hassan Masri, a Saskatoon intensive care physician opposed to the province’s response to the pandemic, has announced that he will be leaving Saskatchewan to perform other leadership roles in Ontario.
It was one of the hardest decisions I ever made and of course, I lost sleep. he wrote on social media on Friday.
The doctor criticized Prime Minister Scott for not taking the time to listen to him private and public messages and his sermons despite relentless attempts to communicate with him directly and privately.
His failed leadership and behavior during this pandemic was truly shamefulhe pointed out.
Dr. Masri has worked for 8 years in Saskatoon, and he has made a name for himself through social media through his messages outlining the difficulties facing hospitals.
He also gave health advice to Saskatchewanians during the pandemic.
Meanwhile, Dr. said. Hassan Masri that the government’s refusal to provide funding to the Prairie Harm Reduction-administered consumption center, the only one in the province, also influenced his decision.
Instead of being part of a system that destroys and cares for people, I watch people who are overdosed and die from the window of my hospital’s intensive care unit.he moaned.
According to the Saskatchewan Coroners Service, 464 people died or were suspected of overdosing in 2021.
On May 3, 137 people are believed to have died from it in 2022.
Government recognition

Last February, Dr. also left. Kevin Wasko, an emergency physician and senior physician for integrated rural health at the Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA), in his position to join the team at a hospital in the Toronto area as an emergency physician.
