A single-family house in the Pintendre sector was engulfed by fire overnight from Saturday to Sunday.
Firefighters from the Lévis Fire Department were called to the scene just after midnight when they saw the fire from outside the residence located on the Chemin des Sables.
About thirty firefighters were mobilized to fight the fire which severely damaged the residence as well as a vehicle parked in front of it.
The lone resident of the area had to exit his residence through a window to escape the fire.
He was injured by broken glass from the windowexplanation by Patrick Vallières, head of operations of the Lévis Fire Safety Service, who specified that the injuries were minor, however.
The fire was brought under control and firefighters left around 5:30 p.m.
